Pipe Calculator

How it works:

Within the xlsx template there is a sheet which calculates the pipes required for a drainage run. It also calculates the amount of gravel and backfill material required to reinstate the trench.

The pipe manufactures chosen are the following:

• - Hepworth
• - Marshalls
• - PolyPipe

In order to calculate the gravel and backfill volumes some parameters were set intially:

• - 150mm of Gravel underneath the pipe
• - 150mm of Gravel either side of the pipe
• - 700mm Road Construction (This uses the cover level of the manhole minus 700mm to reach formation of the road)

A later release will allow users to change the road construction to suit there job.
